Hi. I am grateful you are here. This page is a gallery view featuring a range of my black and blue ink drawings. Many of my projects are in collaboration with wildlife photographers where I give back to rescue and rehabilitation efforts they support. I’m intrigued in the patterns of nature and I seek to reflect that in the details of my drawings. The closer you look, the more you see. I’m also concerned about the natural habitats of wildlife and the boundary humans cross and impact change on ecosystems. While my drawings are not meant to be specific technical illustrations, I do want to the viewer to pause and study the wild things in our world we may otherwise pass by and not give much thought and attention to….
Many works and series are focused on bringing people and birds closer together through a hidden connection I observe. There are 50 billion birds in the world. 8 billion humans. Imagine the variety and diversity thriving beyond our personal experiences that impact our planet we may have never seen or interacted with. I'd like to call attention to this through different concepts expressed through my art. Other species, plants and objects are introduced in some of my drawings as symbolic elements to convey deeper contemplation of history, our present state and the potential impact on our future.
