I drew a little illustration when 1 of my daughters was little. She sat in a chair twice a day taking asthma breathing treatments. She was so little. Her condition was brought on due to lung scaring when she was six weeks old contracting RSV. Her doctor gave her a clear breathing mask that had a fish embossing on it to help comfort her. I drew this little illustration of her sitting in the chair and the residual steam in the Ari surrounding her. Behind her was an ocean of happy fish, coming to the surface greeting her. She has it on her wall today. Today and I continue with this theme in my illustration work choosing to look at this as symbolic of perseverance and courage and the joy of overcoming fear.
