A 3 part series focusing on large birds and their hunting rituals. Great Blue Heron’s are majestic creatures in the Heroes, Bitterns, Allies family Ardeidae. Wading birds with long legs and a neck and bill perfect for stalking prey in shallow water. Graceful crests with plums jutting out. The approximate 46 inches long and a wingspan of 72 inches. This scan does not quite capture the vibrant yellow ink used in the drawing you’ll see in person.
